About S.O.U.P.Established in 2014, this not for profit organization was created with the heart and passion to support and connect with other charities that deal with finding a cure for cancer and stopping violence. These 2 causes have tragically taken the lives of those close and dear to me either through a battle with cancer or violence on the street. I had 2 sisters that passed away from cancer along with another sister that is dealing with multiple sclerosis. In addition to that, I've lost close friends due to street violence. I my goal with the S.O.U.P charity is to raise funds, provide charity events, receive sponsorship and grants to increase awareness and find cures for cancer and stopping violence.
Located in Bronx, New York, we appeal to individuals, families, companies, communities, and other organizations throughout New York, Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and New Jersey, to join us in our quest to find a cure for cancer and put an end to violence, both of which have taken so many lives and have caused so much anguish and grief in the hearts of many. Alone, we can only do so much, but together we can achieve the impossible. Join us as we support and connect with other charities and Anti-violence non-profit organizations dedicated to finding a cure for cancer as well as those who seek to end the hatred and violence that so often see today. Help us make this world a better, safer, healthier place for our children and for future generations to come. |

Eric King, President
Eric King has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years. I started out as a DJ at the age of 19 just doing small events like house parties, park jams & small dance clubs. In the year 2,000 I started doing concerts with my entertainment company to fulfill one of my dreams. I have promoted shows with legends i was very a big fan of growing up. Now I have another dream of being able to raise money for people who need help both for health reasons & against violence. I have had one sister past away from bone cancer. I have another sister with bone cancer & another sister with multiple sclerosis. So from a health stand point this really effects me deeply. I have grew up losing friends thru street violence since the age of 15, so in that respect the violence of today effects me. So this company S.O.U.P will work with Entertainment companies and other non-profit organization to raise money to help both situations talked about above.

Leo Brown, Vice President
My music industry experience started as an intern at the Gavin Report while I was a student at City College of SF. After the Gavin Report, I headed back home to the East Coast after being in California for about four years. I landed another intern at an industry magazine called CMJ (College Music Journal) out in Long Island, NY. While at CMJ, my duties were taking Hip-Hop charts from college radio stations and retail music stores around the country and Canada. In addition to that I also did music reviews and helped with the CMJ Music Marathon. When I left CMJ, I landed my first paid job in the music industry as a Record Promoter for a company named Libra Records & Promotions also in Long Island, there is where I got my feet wet. Libra Records & Promotions landed several accounts with labels such as East/West Records which had artist like EnVogue, Kam, YoYo, Da Lench Mob, Snow and Da Youngsta’s. For a couple of years I did that and I eventually landed side projects with labels for myself. Eventually I was introduced to the Universal Zulu Nation which is the largest Hip-Hop organization in the world. With the Universal Zulu Nation, I had various assignments for the nation which included publicity, event marketing and whatever else was needed.
With over 25 years of experience in the music industry, I have a lot to offer a company, an artist based on knowledge and actual experience in the heat of it through some very defining times of Hip-Hop and the music industry. |
